More than a Cyclist
Diana Hildebrand (a Cincinnati native) is a lifelong athlete who relocated three years ago from Ellwood City, Pennsylvania to the city of Cleveland. There she tapped into the local cycling community while looking for something to fill her appetite for fitness. She did not anticipate how cycling would change her life. As a retired semi-professional football player, she pursued cycling with a similar determination. Diana enthusiastically collected experience, partnerships, and training that make her a viable industry expert.
Through the guidance of Yay! Bikes Columbus, Diana received her first certification as a Commuter Ride Leader and started leading rides throughout Ohio as the Assistant Ride Leader for How We Roll Akron (2018). With this experience, Diana developed her passion and chose her motto to "Change Lives Two Wheels at a Time”.
In 2018 Diana was one out of 105 women across the U.S. selected as a Trek Women's Advocate for the Trek Bicycle brand and has signed on for another year. In 2019 Diana earned her League Cycling Instructor certification from the League of American Bicyclists. Under DevahD Cycling, Black Girls Do Bike, Yay! Bikes, Trek Bicycles, and Eddy’s Bike Shop, Diana offers and assists with training, clinics, one-on-one riding sessions, and group ride sessions. She has provided on-road and classroom instruction covering subjects such as fix a flat, winter cycling and hills for beginners.
Diana currently holds the role of Shero for Black Girls Do Bike Cleveland (2018), First Lady of Major Taylor Cycling Club Cleveland (2018), Trip Coordinator for Noble Inventions Bike Tours (2019) and Program Coordinator for the Cleveland Velodrome (2019). Member and volunteer of Bike Cleveland (2018), Yay! Bikes (2018) and Bike Pittsburgh (2019). Cat 5 road racer for Team Stelleri (2018) and track racer for The Cleveland Velodrome (2019).
