Hey friends – it’s been a minute

Over the past year, I took a much-needed pause from posting regularly – not because I wasn’t active, but because I was intentionally making space for healing, reflection, and growth.
2024 was a powerful year, full of challenges, achievements, and soulful connections. I’m proud to have been honored through The Soul of Philanthropy (TSOP) and inducted as a Hidden Philanthropist. I also became a League Cycling Coach, and to my surprise and deep gratitude, was named the 2024 Jim and Gail Spann Bike League Educator of the Year.
From attending the Youth Bike Summit and Safe Routes to School Conference, to leading youth cycling camps and after-school programs, this work of connecting communities through bikes and education continues to fill my cup.
At the same time, I’ve been navigating some very human things. Personal health challenges, surgeries, and the journey of understanding a perimenopausal body—complete with brain fog, night sweats, insomnia, and a sometimes elusive motivation to “get back in the saddle.” That’s real. And it’s taught me a lot about grace.
I took time to focus on continuing education, wellness, and learning how to show up for myself. Some days, that looks like movement. Others, it’s unapologetically giving myself a day—or a week—of rest. And that’s okay.
These days, I’m back on the bike, working out, and doing the work I love—especially with CMSD, where I’ve been having the best time teaching grades 1-3. Their joy reminds me of why I started. It’s fun and playful and brings me back to those beautiful basics of learning.
I’d love to hear from you. How are you caring for yourself? How do you make space for your joy, your healing, and your reset?
Drop a comment or shoot me a message. Let’s keep showing up for ourselves and each other.
